Lot Essay

The Stones' careers became frenetically busy between the middle of July 1963 until the end of June, 1964 as the contracts in this Lot and the previous Lot show. In the first three months of this period they played nearly 50 gigs in London and during August and September, 1963 they performed live ...on all but seven days. Not that these were days off; on those dates, they did three TV shows, recorded on another day, and did interviews and a photo shoot on the fifth day.
