Seven months earlier on 2nd February, 1962, The Beatles had appeared at the Oasis Club in Manchester for the first time, in what Mark Lewisohn describes as their ..first professionally organised out-of-town date... On the strength of this, Epstein secured three further bookings for The Beatles at Manchester's Oasis club over the next 12 months.
