An autograph letter, signed, in blue ballpoint pen, from George Harrison to a fan called Jill, dated 3/3/63, writing from 174 Mackets Lane, Woolton, Liverpool 25, thanking her for ...the Birthday greetings, which I received today after the end of the Helen Shapiro Tour. If you come to meet us on the 30th, then don't forget to say 'Hello I'm Jill from Portsmouth' or I will forget who you are. Don't forget to come though as you are welcome. I have enclosed a few signed photos for you and your friends. See you on the 30th. Lots of love from George Harrison xxxx, 1p.

This letter was indeed, as Harrison indicates, written at the end of the Helen Shapiro Tour - Sunday, 3rd March was in fact the final date of the tour. The 30th referred to by Harrison would have been Saturday, 30th March, 1963 when The Beatles were scheduled to appear at the Guildhall, Portsmouth as part of the Tommy Roe/Chris Montez tour.
