A Pan American Airways in-flight menu, 1964, signed inside in blue ballpoint pen by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, additionally inscribed in McCartney's hand Best Wishes to a very reserved gentleman (that's what she said!) -- 19¾x12½in. (50x31.7cm.)

Lot Essay

These signatures were acquired during a flight from London to New York for The Beatles' first visit to the U.S. in February, 1964. McCartney's inscription refers to the original owner of this menu who had asked the stewardess if The Beatles would sign this menu for him.
