Cal. 177 ultra-thin, with circular nickel-finished lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal, 18 jewels, Gyromax balance, free sprung regulator, the gilt matt dial with applied baton numerals, surrounded by a gold Greek pattern decoration, the rectangular case resembling a Greek temple, hidden lugs, snap on back, together with an 18K gold Patek Philippe buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1983 and its subsequent sale on 15 December 1983. Furthermore delivered with the original fitted presentation box.

The "Les Grecques" collection was launched in the early 1980s and Patek Philippe stated following quote in their relevant sales catalogue: "Shapes, sizes, decorations: the whole world of the Ancient Greeks reveals their genius and intuition for its enduring influence. A Patek Philippe is also passed down from generation to generation. This is the privilege of true works of art".
