Lot Essay

Accompanied by Rolex Service Guarantee dated 18 June 1998 and presentation box.

The Milgauss model was designed for use in areas of high electro-magnetic fields found in laboratories and electro-engineering. One of the most distinctive of all Rolex 'Sports' models, the 1019 was the last 'tool' watch designed for a specific activity to be produced by the company.

For a model from the first generation of the Milgauss, reference 6541 from 1958, see lot 177 in this sale.

Both reference numbers are illustrated in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, p. 33.
