With full plate gilt-finished verge movement, engraved and pierced balance cock and foot, square baluster pillars, chain fusée, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic five minute divisions, amethyst-set hands, in silver gilt inner case with later added silver gilt bezel, the circular silver gilt outer case with pavé-set square-cut amethyst decoration, together with a silver gilt and amethyst-set flower-form châtelaine with a key and a seal, inner case stamped with London date letter for 1787, movement signed and numbered

A gold pair case quarter repeating watch signed G. Goodman, London, numbered 136, dated circa 1780, with red agate and diamond-set outer case, is listed in Catalogue of the Collection of Watches in the Property of J. Pierpont Morgan, p. 194.
