Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1920 and its subsequent sale on 19 July 1922.

The rarity of this watch is its unusual large size, in fact it is the largest cushion-shaped wristwatch by Patek Philippe known to this day. It exceeds the width of the average gentleman's size cushion-shaped Patek Philippe wristwatch featuring a 12 lignes movement (see lot 200) by 3 mm. and the overall length, e.g. including lugs, by 4 mm.
