The rectangular-shaped nickel-finished fully jewelled lever movement signed LeCoultre, bimetallic compensation balance, ruby endstone and jewelled pallets, the skeletonized dial revealing the movement, applied black Arabic and dot numerals, black hands, in rectangular-shaped case with large winding crown to the back, all revolving vertically on the circular base, together with the original size nickel-finished Duoplan keyless lever movement signed Jaeger, 15 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel hands, hinged into a rectangular gold outer case with glazed front, winding crown to the glazed back, all screwed into a small circular stand in the base, both movements signed

Accompanied by the copy of a letter from Jaeger-LeCoultre, Le Sentier, confirming that probably only 10 examples of this exhibition model were made.

The famous Duoplan lever movement was a land mark innovation in the late 1920s, allowing the winding and hand setting crown to be placed on the reverse of the case, thus enabling the Art Deco designers of the period the production of watches with a very clean and elegant look.
