This lot has no reserve VARIOUS PROPERTIES The following two lots are part of a limited edition of the Tank Basculante made in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium and a re-edition of the original model launched in 1932. The main purpose of this ingenious system, allowing the complete 360 degree rotation of the case around the horizontal axis, was to protect the crystal and consequently the dial during sporting activities. The model is illustrated and described in Cartier - The Tank Watch by Franco Cologni, pp. 97-100 & 214-215.

With nickel-finished lever movement, 21 jewels, the white engine-turned dial with Roman numerals, secret signature at VII, blued steel hands, the inner rectangular case with engraved 1999 2000 2001 to the back, the back secured by two screws to each side, winding crown to 12 o'clock, revolving within a rectangular frame set with a cabochon sapphire to the top, all hinged into the backplate with engine-turned decoration depicting the Cartier logo to the inside, together with an 18K pink gold Cartier deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed
