A Khorassan moulded turquoise glazed pottery tile fragment, north east Iran, 12th century
from a massive inscription, the hasta of one letter flanked to one side by a bold arabesque, plain upper border, the reverse with a sharply incised inscription -- 8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) wide.
