A Kashan lustre and cobalt-blue moulded inscription tile, central Iran, late 13th early 14th Century
the main register with spiralling turquoise tendrils issuing lustre flowering vine inhabited by birds and animals around a raised blue naskh inscription, the upper register with a flying simurgh, mounted on board -- 15¾in. (40cm.) high.
