ABU'L QASIM FIRDOWSI: SHAHNAMEH, SECOND HALF 16TH CENTURY
Persian manuscript on cream paper, 421ff. with 24ll. of black nasta'liq arranged within four columns, opening and another folio with illuminated heading in gold and colours, seventeen finely painted miniatures in gouache heightened with gold, brown morocco binding with central gilded paper panels within borders of smaller side panels, all embossed with dense floral sprays, cloth cover -- Folio 29.5 x 21cm.
