A GEORGE II GOLD-MOUNTED HARDSTONE NEEDLE CASE
circa 1750/1760, later struck with two French import marks for gold 1864-1893
Tapering flattened rectangular case applied with blue/grey-brown striated agate panels within reeded horizontal gold mounts, engraved, pierced and embossed cagework mounts, slightly domed ends, hinge at the short rear end, old-mine cut diamond pushpiece at side
