Octagonal box, the cover, four side panels, four short corners panels and base engine-turned with horizontal reeding stamped with rows of stars and pellets, within fluted borders, the sides divided by eight vertical laurel and berry swags on a matted ground, the matted gold borders chased with trailing foliage, scrolls, roses and ovolos, polished gold rims
