A SWISS ENAMELLED GOLD SEALING-WAX CASE
Geneva, circa 1800, with rubbed prestige marks and the Parisian post-1838 restricted warranty mark for gold
Slightly tapering flattened cylindrical etui, both sides of cover and base enamelled in translucent blue and with colourful flowers, and centred by oval reserves painted with putti and ladies, one as Diana the Huntress, the other as 'Innocence', the frosted borders decorated with green and white enamelled leaves and berries, blank matrix
