A CUT-GLASS GLASS TABLE GARNITURE
ENGLISH OR IRISH, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Comprising a pair of jars and covers with spire finials, a pair of compotes and a pair of sweetmeat stands, each of serpentine baluster form, the shaped everted mouths of the jars and compotes with eight points and serrated rims, the flat cake stands similarly star-shaped, the border of each engraved with a cross-hatched cornucopia extending from each point into trailing tassels, the lower portion cut with deep oval windows, on faceted knopped stems and star-shaped feet
18 3/8 in. (46.7 cm.) high, the jars and covers; 8½ in. (21.6 cm.) high, the compotes; 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high and 8 3/8 in. (21.2cm.) diameter, the sweetmeat stands (8)
