Modelled as a half-length bust of a bearded cavallier wearing 17th Century dress, a cocked plumed hat and armour, his blue curiass moulded with stylised strapwork and a central mythical beast head terminal from which hangs a loop handle, he holds out a single torchere moulded with stylised leaf-heads and strapwork, within a leaf-moulded oval concave frame with four shell, flowerhead and blue strap ornaments, within brown a rim (light chipping to the shell-moulded ornament)
