A pair of Royal Dux figures of a shepherd and companion
CIRCA 1890, APPLIED TRIANGULAR PAD MARKS
The first modelled wearing a large hat, pink shirt and trousers rolled-up to the knee, a dead sheep hanging from his belt, a wolf prowling beneath his feet, leaning on a tree-stump, the rocky encrusted base applied with leaves (the wolf lacking tail); his companion modelled standing wearing a dress that has fallen off her shoulder, with a gilt skirt and striped under-skirt, lightly decorated with raised blue and white enamels, barefoot, holding a basket of greens, a sheep at her feet, on a similar rocky base
He stands 17 in. (43 cm.) high (2)
