LATE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE SHIELD MARKS, TITLES IN BLACK SCRIPT
Painted with various classical and allegorical series of female figures in landscape, each signed Riemer and titled to the base, within a circular richly-gilt cartouche and a broad dark-blue border decorated with panels of tooled gilt leaves, diaper-pattern and shaped scrolls applied with white 'jewelling', within richly-gilt petal-shaped rims, comprising: one high comport; two low comports and six plates (light rubbing to gilding and minor losses to jewelling)
