A RETRO SAPPHIRE, RUBY, DIAMOND AND GOLD "LUDO" BRACELET, BY VAN CLEEF & ARPELS
Designed as a flexible polished gold brick link band, with a carved ruby and sapphire fish clasp, enhanced by circular-cut diamonds, to the baguette-cut sapphire, ruby and diamond bar extending gold chain fringe, mounted in 18k gold, circa 1945, 7½ ins., with French assay marks, in a Van Cleef & Arpels black suede case

Lot Essay

Either Doris or Nanaline Duke commissioned Van Cleef & Arpels to mount the clasp which was purchased at an earlier date from the antique dealer, Imre Schwaiger, who was based in India.
