Each oval back and seat upholstered in contemporary petit point needlework depicting reserves of flowers within octagonal frames on stop-fluted turned tapering legs, several legs pieced, one with chalk number 1495, losses to decoration, one lacking two feet (2)

Lot Essay

The stamp of NDLPS refers to Nicolas Delaporte, a sculptor and member of the long, illustrious line of 18th Century menuisiers of the Delaporte family. It has also been associated with the menvisier Martin Jullien.
