A similar five-piece garniture from the Collection of Augustus the Strong, King of Saxony, is illustrated by Eva Ströber, La Maladie de Porcelaine..., Berlin, 2001, pp. 108-109, no. 46, where the author notes that the garniture was acquired in 1723 from the dealer Madame Bassetouche.
