Lot Essay

Built in Sheerness in 1837, H.M.S. Dart was a 3-gun brigantine. She saw service at the Cape of Good Hope, 1850-57, as a tender and transferred to Beresford, Ireland, as a Coast Guard vessel in 1857. She was broken up in 1875.
