AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY NAPOLEONIC FRENCH PRISONER-OF-WAR BONE SHIP MODEL
with bound masts with wooden top masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, carved wooden figurehead of a warrior, metal anchors with bone stocks, catheads, head and main rails, belaying rails and pins, stove pipe, belfry, well deck with companionways, gratings, helm, saloon lights, sixteen brass guns in trucks and other details. The hull with open gun ports and guns, chain plates and deadeyes, etched stern and quarter galleries and rudder, is mounted on a display base within glazed case with hinged door. Overall measurements -- 21½ x 27in. (54.5 x 68.5cm.)
