A FINE EARLY 19TH CENTURY NAPOLEONIC FRENCH PRISONER-OF-WAR BONE MODEL OF A 120-GUN FIRST RATE SHIP-OF-THE-LINE
masts with yards and stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, warrior-form figurehead, catheads, head and main rails, bone anchors with stocks and floats, belaying rails and pins, capstan, water barrels, belfry, hammock racks, well deck with lion balustrade, long boat, compass boxes, companion ways, deck lights and other details. The planked and pinned hull with carved main and secondary wales, chain plates and deadeyes, carved stern and quarter galleries and rudder, is mounted on two bone chocks on an inlaid display board (overall restoration, some replaced parts including base). Measurements overall -- 26 x 30in. (66 x 76cm.)
