A DETAILED WATERLINE BOARDROOM MODEL OF THE TANKER SCOTTISH PTARMIGAN, BUILT BY BASSETT-LOWKE FOR THE CLAN LINE
with communication masts with radio aerials, rigging and derricks, anchors with 'D' chains and winches, fairleads, bollards, ventilators, companionways, red and green valves, superstructure with bridge with binnacle, range finder and radar over, four lifeboats in davits, wood-capped deck rails, spare propeller, engine room lights, funnel and other details. The hull finished in black, white and red below the waterline is set in a moulded and painted seacscape with maker's plate within a wood-bound glazed case. Measurements overall -- 18 x 81in. (46 x 206cm.)
