One side with a youthful horseman in pursuit of two armed warriors, the horseman wearing a short chiton, holding the reins in his left hand, his right upraised, the warriors running to the right but looking back, each wearing a crested Corinthian helmet, carrying a circular shield and wielding a spear in his upraised right hand; the other side with a quadriga scene, the female driver, clad in a chiton, stepping into the chariot, gripping the reins in both hands, a goad in her left hand, with a himation-clad man facing her to the right, a spear over his shoulder, a youthful groom leading the team to the right; the scenes framed by ivy on either side and a band of alternating red and black tongues above, with rays above the foot, key pattern on the side of the rim, dotted lotus bud chain on the upper surface of the rim, and palmettes on the handle-plates
