ATTRIBUTED TO THE EUPHILETOS PAINTER, CIRCA 525-515 B.C.
One side with a departure scene, the charioteer in a long white tunic, a shield over his shoulders, holding the reins and a goad, with two warriors in Corinthian helmets standing in the background, a white-haired old man between them, and a himation-clad figure seated to the far right, his face obscured by the horses; the other side with Dionysos at the center, wrapped in a himation, a fillet of ivy in his hair, holding a rhython, a draped maenad and a dancing nude satyr before him, a dancing draped maenad behind him; with rays above the foot, bands of key pattern and lotus bud chain below the scenes, tongues above, lotus and palmette chain on the neck, and lotus buds and palmettes framing the triple-reeded handles, details in added red and white, graffiti on the underside of the foot
