A rare erotic automaton singing bird box

Bruguier, No. 28, with bird with blue/green plumage, moving beak, head, perch, wings and tail, beneath rectangular lid enamelled with a hunting scene and bordered with seed pearls, in gold case with deep blue guilloché panels in champlevé borders and seed pearl-set watch timepiece at the front, a right-hand flap enclosing an automaton scene (activated by the main movement) of cupid forging arrows, a left-hand flap with winding arbor for concealed barillet musical movement, the underside with hidden compartment containing an erotic automaton scene in trichromate metals, with individual fusee activated by lifting flap in the base -- 3 5/8in.
