a wooden dolls' house mounted on a toy cupboard of three bays and two stories plus attic, with roof finial, chimney stack, scalloped barge boarding, four side windows, balcony, door and porch to the attic, a bay on the right of the front door, opening in three parts to reveal four rooms with staircase, landing, interior doors, kitchen dresser and furniture including sitting and dining rooms sets with dark finish, part bedroom set of printed paper on wood, English tinplate pram, blue and white dinner service, two dolls' house dolls, tinplate range and coal scuttle --the house 34in. (86cm.) wide. 35in. (89cm.) high, 13in. (33cm.) deep, the cupboard 39½in. (100cm.) wide, 38½in. (98cm.) high and 13in. (33cm.) deep (cupboard repainted)

This house was made by the owner's grandfather Arther Clifford of 75 Kingsdown Road, Upper Holloway, Islington. Mr. Clifford was a grocer who made the house from orange boxes for his daughter born in 1897. Mr Clifford died in 1984.
