Her fiancé was a fighter pilot, who was shot down during the 2nd World War. Freidchen never married, but became a well-loved teacher in Wuppert. Her father, a school director, bought the dolls, but they were only allowed to he held for photographs and then were put away in a special cabinet, hence their extremely good condition.

with blue painted eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, jointed composition body and original cream frock with red trim, underclothes, shoes, matching hat, additional cream knitted jacket, matching hat and straw hat, in original 'Mein Liebling' box with end label 'Charakterpuppe' and original packing tissue --12in. (30.5cm.) high
