with dark and light blue striated eyes, smiling closed mouth, inset long fair ringlets, cloth body with wax limbs with metal eyelets, wearing short white muslin tucked frock, underclothes and blue quilted slippers, in original blue box --21in. (53cm.) high (damage to box); a carte de visite photograph of the doll with her original owner taken by a Melbourne photographer date 1858 and a letter to the child (marks across photograph)
