A Japanese ivory okimono of a family, circa 1900
carved with a man carrying a small child in one arm and a cricket cage in the left hand, the cage with sliding front and with insects inside and out, a further young female stands beside, the oval base signed Hokei on the underside -- 8¼in. (21cm.) high.
