Two visitors' books, the first for Undershaw, 9 November 1897 - 5 August 1907, 15½ pages, oblong 4to, green speckled calf (scratched), silver corners to upper cover, lettered in brass on upper cover 'Undershaw'; the second for Windlesham, 12 June 1910 - 13 April 1915, 7 entries only on 2 pages, oblong 4to, brown morocco (faded), gilt borders;
two photograph albums, the first including approximately 69 snapshots (the majority 90 x 65mm) showing Sir Arthur and Lady (Jean) Conan Doyle on a cruise around the Mediterranean, including Venice, Florence, Rome, Pompei, Athens, Smyrna, Constantinople and other sites as well as on board ship, together with commercial photgraphs and postcards, red morocco, 4to; the second labelled on upper cover by Conan Doyle 'Place & Picture Photos of Interest', with commercial photographs and postcards of sites in Rome, Florence, Avignon, the North of England and Scotland, and elsewhere (faded), roan-backed boards, 4to;
a printed commemorative album of the Prinz Heinrich Fahrt, 1911 (the Prince Henry Motor Tour through Germany and Britain); with another photograph and a collection of photocopied theatre programmes and flyers.
The visitors' book for Undershaw includes a number of familiar names, among them members of the family circle including Innes, the Hornungs, Wood, the Foleys, the Angells and the Oldhams, literary figures and associates including Sidney Paget, J.M. Barrie, Hesketh Prichard and Bram Stoker, and friends including Stratton and Clara Bulnois, James Ryan with his mother (the other 'Mam') and wife, and Gordon Guggisburg. There are no entries for 1906, the year of Touie's death; appropriately, the last entries are for Jean Leckie (her first appearance), her brother Malcolm, and her close friend Lily Loder-Symonds. The few entries in the Windlesham visitors' book include J.M. Barrie, Anthony Hope Hawkins, William J. Burns (the detective) and Vilhjalmur Stefánsson. (7)
