One side with a quadriga scene, the youthful driver wearing a belted sleeveless chiton, standing in the chariot and holding the reins and a goad, a fully-armed warrior and an old man wearing a long himation in the background, a himation-clad groom standing to the right, his head obscured by the horses; the other side with a battle scene of two warriors attacking a third between them, each fully armed, the warrior to the left with a Boeotian shield, the warrior in the center with a circular shield, a bull's head as the blazon, and the warrior to the right with a circular shield, a bent human leg as the blazon; with rays above the foot, bands of key-pattern and lotus bud chain below the scenes, alternating red and black tongues on the shoulders, palmette lotus chain on the neck, palmettes and lotus buds framing the triple-reeded handles, details in added red and white
