Of hammered sheet, with high frontally-curving peak, repoussé palmettes riveted to the peak and terminating in scrolled tubes for attachment of plumes, the flanged rim below the carinated lip, its edge rolled over a wire, stepped down at the back to the flaring neck-guard, perforated twice on each side for attachment of cheek-pieces, perforated along the left side of the neck-guard, an ancient repair riveted to the truncated right side of the neck-guard, three additional ancient repairs on the interior
