A SOUTH ARABIAN CALCITE-ALABASTER HEAD

The oval face with flat features and a long triangular nose, the almond-shaped eyes inlaid in shell with dark stones for the pupils, the beard a raised ridge, a now-missing inlay indicating a stud below the small mouth, the top of the head roughly chiseled, perhaps once more fully rendered in plaster
