Tasting note: Old Vouvrays turn deep, amber-gold, and this colour is exactly that. It has roasted aromas, still fresh, with striking fruit intensity, not fat, or rich, or sweet. It is as if the wind of the nearby Atlantic blows through this bottle, sustaining its crispness. Beautiful harmony, superb length, and surely the greatest vintage of the 1930s here. AH
