A Cantonese carved ivory figural chess set
First half 19th century
One side stained red, the king modelled as George III, the opposing natural side with the king modelled as a Chinese Emperor
The king -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high; the pawn -- 2½in. (6.3cm.) high
