Lowry' and dated 14 Oct 1975; the other inscribed 'Dear Mr Kenton,/I am very sorry to have been so/long in replying to your letter due to/absence from here./I am afraid I have done no/work for some time not since 1965 to be/exact. I havent done anything since then. I/have nothing I could let you have. so I must/return your cheque - I am sorry/but there it is I am afraid. Yours sincerely/L S Lowry'

Lot Essay

Between 1918 and 1920 Lowry made a series of drawings of visitors and colleagues at the Pall Mall Property Company. A number of these are in the collection of the Lowry Centre, Salford.
