Sale room notice
The present lot was executed at the Wiener Werkstätte. In the 1950s it was purchased directly from Josef Hoffmann by Henk de Leeuw, director of Metz & Co, when visiting Hoffmann in Vienna.

The box was on loan to the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam in the 1960s.
