A ZUNARI KABUTO [HELMET]
Edo Period (19th century)
The simple three plate zunari [head shaped] helmet of russet iron, across the top of the bowl a large spider in silver and copper nunome [overlay], to the front a tall gilded associated maedate [fore crest], a five lame hineno jikoro [neck guard] black lacquered and laced in white sugake odoshi [spaced lacing]
