Unsigned, Edo Period (Mid-19th Century)
The first two-case, oval with integrated himotoshi carved in high relief, with a crayfish, unsigned; the second four-case, oval with integrated himotoshi, carved in high and low relief, with karashishi and peony sprays, unsigned; the third three-case, lenticular with integral himotoshi, black lacquer ground densely sprinkled with gold hirame verging on nashiji, decoration in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e with gold and silver foil, with geese, compartments and risers gold nashiji, signed with gold hiramaki-e characters Koma Koryu saku and kakihan, metal ojime and lacquer netsuke of a persimmon decorated in gold hiramaki-e, old wear and slight restoration to the himotoshi on three cases
