A GILT AND BLACK LACQUER SCREEN
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Finely painted in two tones of gold with some red highlights on the black lacquer ground with an extensive architectrual complex with archers on horses competing with each other in front of an official seated in the central large hall, surrounded by rich vegetations and water, the border with shaped panels of figures in architectures on a dense foliate ground embellished with precious objects, the reverse with fruiting and flowering trees beside a pond inhabited by egrets and insects, hinges replaced, minor restoration
