Larger bowls decorated in this manner, often

onwards, depicting views of famous scenic spots in the West
Lake, Yangzi River, Mount Lu and Dongting Lake.
The scenes on the current bowls include:
Nanpu guifan (Returning sails at the South Harbour)
Xunyang qiubo (Autumn anchorage at Xunyang)
Xishan diecui (Deep forest of West Mountains)
Donghu yeyue (Moonlight at the East Lake)
Huazhou chunxiao (Early Spring in the Isle of Flower)
Bailu gudong (the ancient Cave of White Deer)
Magu xiantan (the Heavenly platform of Magu)
Xuting yanliu (the misty willows at the Xu Pavilion)

A complete set of Jiaqing marked bowls was sold in our Hong Kong Rooms, 29 and 30 April 2001, lot 517.
