Oblong 4o (239 x 338 mm). 80 etchings with burnished aquatint, drypoint and engraving, after Goya (mostly marginal scattered light foxing to some plates). Original cloth backed yellow pasteboard, with the "Self-Portrait" on upper cover, (upper joint cracked, some wear to edges and rubbing to covers). Provenance: Don A. Canovas del Castillo (bookplate); Liberia de P. Vindel (bookplate).

SIXTH EDITION of the complete set of Goya's iconic work. Goya drew and etched the plates for his first great print series between 1797 and 1799. The images of satirical and black humor reflect upon social mores and supersitions of the time. Harris 36-115.
