Paroissien (title and several plates with repaired tears, occasionally crossing image, some spotting throughout). Original boards, black paper spine label (skilfully rebacked preserving original spine); blue quarter morocco chemise; morocco-faced slipcase.

FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH. Schmidtmeyer's work, previously published in Paris, contains "sketches of the productions and agriculture; mines and metallurgy; inhabitants, history, and other features, of America; particularly of Chile, and Arauco." Abbey Travel 715; Sabin 77692.
