A BRONZE INKWELL
VENETIAN, LATE 16TH OR EARLY 17TH CENTURY
The bowl-shaped body decorated with swags of drapery and grotesque masks and supported by three female busts on lion's paw feet; the lid surmounted by a female figure bearing a cornucopia.
Dark brown patina with lighter high points; minor casting flaws to the lid; the finial probably a replacement.
