St. Michael depicted spearing a half man half serpent representing the devil; on an integrally cast bronze base inscribed the the reverse 'EXECUTED BY E. W. WYON AFTER THE ORIGINAL BY FLAXMAN. FOR THE ART UNION OF LONDON. 1842.'
Greenish brown patina with lighter high points.
